Overview
SIT-BAC is a broad technical protocol that covers all aspects of FCC One-To-One compliance from the website operator, distribution, to the end buyer. Broadly speaking companies setting up SIT-BAC can either rely upon an existing supported lead distribution platform or can set up a private hosted version of SIT-BAC.
Setting up a Self Hosted Instance of SIT-BAC
SIT-BAC is a fully free to use and open source standard that can be set up and configured on proprietary lead distribution platforms. The articles below will provide the needed technical information for a development team to set up a self hosted SIT-BAC server. Technical teams needing additional information should inquire here.
Setting up SIT-BAC as a Lead Generator on a self hosted platform.
Setting up SIT-BAC requires several backend changes to a webform page to be One-To-One compliant and best practice also includes making some frontend changes for best performance.
Lead Generators will need to configure their lead distribution platform or software to be SIT-BAC compatible and host a private SIT-BAC server (see hosting a SIT-BAC server). Fortunately, this should not be incompatible with any other FCC solution and will still allow for best practice lead capture and distribution.
Setting up SIT-BAC as a Marketplace on a self hosted platform.
Setting up SIT-BAC requires backend and infrastructure changes to the lead distribution platform to be One-To-One compliant.
Marketplaces will need to configure their lead distribution platform or software to be SIT-BAC compatible and host a private SIT-BAC server (see hosting a SIT-BAC server). Fortunately, this should not be incompatible with any other FCC solution and will still allow for best practice lead capture and distribution along with continued sale of leads to non-SIT-BAC supported platforms and clients.
Setting up SIT-BAC as a Lead Buyer on a self hosted platform.
Setting up SIT-BAC for Lead Buyers to be One-To-One compliant is fairly straightforward on a self hosted platform although it does require some changes. Lead buyers may opt to set up just base functionality which would not require any significant changes to their lead distribution platform or may wish to make further changes for best practice lead buying and additional features such as filtering and rejecting leads not meeting the FCC One-To-One standard.
Collaboration
If you would like to use SIT-BAC on your own platform but do not want to set up a self-hosted version, reach out as a collaborator to gain access to a hosted version of SIT-BAC that can be used for private platforms.
